Microsoft Project Professional
This course is designed for individuals who need to use Microsoft Office Project Professional to create and modify a project plan file that contains tasks, resources, and resource assignments. The target student has an understanding of project management concepts, is responsible for creating and modifying project plans, and needs a tool to manage those project plans. By the completion of training program, you will create a project plan file containing tasks, organize these tasks in a work breakdown structure containing task relationships, create and assign resources, and finalize the project to implement the project plan. In addition, you will exchange project plan data with other applications, update project plans, create custom reports, and reuse project plan information.
Project Management Fundamentals
This course is a one day primer on the basics of Project Management. Students will learn how to use Project Management techniques to plan, organize, control, document and close out their projects successfully and with minimum risk. Project+
This course delves into the unique challenges of managing IT projects, and offers a roadmap to success. The target student is a professional who wants to gain the skills and knowledge required to successfully manage and deploy projects. By course completion, you will initiate a project, develop a project charter, create a scope statement, create management plans, develop a Statement of Work, create a project schedule, manage project relationships, implement a project, and close a project. While the content of this course can be readily applied to nearly any industry, Project+ was specifically designed to address the skills inventory and performance outcomes that you need to be successful in today's volatile IT market. This course will also prepare students for the CompTIA Project+ certification exam.
Project Management Professional (PMP)
This course discusses each of the 44 Project Management Institute (PMI) processes which should be part of any project. During this course, the student will cover process framework and each of the nine project management knowledge groups. After defining some fundamental concepts and key terminology, the course elaborates on the five process groups of Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring/Controlling, and Closing. The balance of the course explores the nine management areas of Communication, Cost, Human Resources, Integration, Procurement, Quality, Risk, Scope, and Time. The course wraps up with a discussion which addresses the PMI's professional responsibility topic. This course will also help prepare students for the PMP certification |
